With 3 Festivals a year at Broadway Cinema in Nottingham! A whole host of other events across the East Midlands and Internationally, Bang! Short film festival screens the best in new animation, documentary, drama and experimental short film from the region's filmmakers and beyond.
Set up in 1999 Bang! became a non-competitive festival event, all-inclusive, encouraging new and innovative talent. Bang! accepts work filmed on all formats from Hi 8 and MiniDV to 35mm, from zero budgeted masterpieces to mega-priced works of art.
Founded by 3 filmmakers, Chris Cooke, Donna Bowyer and Adam Robertson, the team collaborated with local animator Max Crow who took over the design of the festivals unique, funny exploding animals amongst other duties.
